Enjoying the Cake
Of course after we blew out the candles we had to help her eat the cake. In spite of dietary restrictions, I'm not going to deprive her on her Birthday. Happy 83rd Mom, we love ya.

With a serious health scare earlier in the week (congestive heart failure) we were so happy to present her with a cake. She didn't have the strength to blow out her candles, but we helped her. Go Omi!
Who is Teddy?
Keeping Cassidy busy was not too difficult with this much snow to shovel. Although without the correct footwear and borrowed (bad) gloves, it didn't take him too long to get cold.
Can we start eating yet? Why do we need a picture, lets just eat. They have been waiting for this dinner all day. That would be Christmas Eve, which is traditionally celebrated more than Christmas day in the German tradition, although we did both.
This is George, the Greek cheese and butter man, who has been serving Oma(german for grandma) for over 40 years. He hasn't seen her for a couple of years since she moved in with us and was happy to see her.
Mom used to be able to pick her own veggies and fruit and boy did she check them over. Now of course, Teddy boy does it for her.
