Still Down For The Count

So today I went to the doctor to see if there was anything he could do for my back. Other than offer me pain meds, which I don't need, there isn't much except rest.

While I was there though, he insisted on giving me my annual flu shot so now not only does my back hurt, my arm and shoulder are sore too and I'm running a slight fever.

Time to go back to bed until things improve a bit here a Chez Rositta...

Oh, I'm so sorry Rositta. Maybe your honey will fetch you some chicken soup and a cup of tea with honey. Have you considered a new mattress? I know mine cost an arm and a leg, but I think it's saved me a whole lot of pain!

Rudee, we just bought a very expensive mattress two years ago. I bought a tempur topper for it about 3 inches thick, plus a feather bed. With the stock market the way it is, that's it on spending for a while...ciao

Okay, feel your pain, literally, I look like when I can walk, I have a load of shit in my pants. Nice, really attractive.

I bought something that looks like a fanny pack that has an insert for a reusable heat pack. Now, I am not one to recommend products unless they help, but this does for lower back pain. Minus the fact that you look a bit like a camel. Poor thing Rositta, bedrest, and when you can, do some light walking. Just to lubricate the joints. It's hard, but even 5 minutes of gentle walking may help. It's hard to get the inertia up though, because when you are in pain and can hardly walk the last thing you want is excercise. Oh, and those shiatsu massagers help a little too. Oh, and this other homeopathic remedy, ZEEL, made by the same makers of Traumeel, friends take it and have reported improvement. Take care my dear.

Just popping in to say hello, Rositta. I'm glad to know you've gotten your flu shot. I missed mine, because I got bronchitis instead. Hope you are feeling better now. I've missed you. Take care.

chrysalis, nice to hear from you. I've been wondering were you are. I missed my flu shot last year because I also had bronchitis and regretted it...
