A Quick Update
As much as I want to visit my favourite blogs, I find myself unable to focus on reading or even my favourite pastime, knitting.
I saw an Optometrist today who diagnosed my eye problem as a pseudo hole in the Macular with peripheral retina breaks. In plain English I have lost vision in my right eye right in the center and it causes the vision to be blurry.
For the moment there is no retinal detachment, although the danger exists. There is a follow up appointment next week plus some eye photos in the future to determine how big the hole and if repair is a possibility.
The thought that I will not be able to see well sends shivers down my spine and almost makes life unbearable.
Just as I was about to push the publish button, my husband yelled from the basement that there was a flood. The hot water tank broke and we've just spent the last hour mopping up and picking up carpet tiles. It doesn't end...

Oh Rositta! This is all terrible. I'm so sorry about your vision problems. How long until you can get into a retina specialist? I hope it isn't too long so you can get some answers. Hang in there.

Oh Rosita!! What difficult experiences you are going through. I'm thinking of you way over here and sending you all the positive vibes I can. I hope things get better for you very soon!
Thanks Ms Bee,
Rudee, judging by the fact that my husband is still waiting for an MRI 4 months later and I have to wait another year for foot surgery, I don't have great hopes for a Retinal specialist anytime soon. The land of socialized medicine and all that...
Thanks Traveler, I really need some good vibes, I'm scared.
Oh Rositta, I know, it is scary.
When I had my floaters appearing and the doctor told me what could happen, I was really worried.
Hopefully it won't be a rupture and if intervention is quick there is a chance of some recovery.
This also happened to my Dad many years ago and he leads a perfectly normal life.
Thanks Devil Mood, the size of the hole determines if it can be fixed. If it's small it can't be. I also read about the recovery after surgery and I basically have to lie down on my face for two weeks, that will be fun...
Rositta, I do hope something can be done to recover your vision. This is one of my fears too, not to be able to see. I was terrified when I had my cataract surgery in case something went wrong, which it does on rare occasions. Once I had the first one done successfully I said OK, at least I have one good eye now.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
