It's Time

Getting back to writing is really difficult but I thought I'd give it a try. Many things have happened in the last few months, some good, some bad and some downright ugly. I won't bore you with details and I've survived the worst. One of the bad is that I will need some medical investigation as to why I still get these horrible "gallbladder" colicky pain that lasts anywhere from ten minutes to eight hours. Since the gallbladder exited my body roughly four years ago, the suspicion is either a stone hiding in the bile duct (requires surgical intervention), or something called "sphincter of odi" also requiring surgical intervention. So you see, there is really no perfect outcome.

Meanwhile I need two tests. An MRI and an ERCP where they send a camera down your throat to have a look see but the wait is roughly three months. So we are packing up and getting out of Dodge, well T-Dot actually an heading to Greece next week.

We will be gone two months and as usual I'm also heading to Germany for 10 days of fun and frolic with my childhood friend Petra. Our plan is to drive south along the Rhine river into France to explore, and of course check out the wine.

I sure hope my sphincter of whatever cooperates since this would not be covered by my travel insurance. Would also not be fun.

Since I have no idea what my Internet situation will be in Greece this year I don't know when I will post again. But hey, at least you all know I'm still alive...later gater
