November Surprise

The temperature outside is 19c, almost a record for November in T-dot. Look what my garden is still presenting me with.

Even though we all know it can't last, this little bit of Indian summer is sure welcome.

It's election day in America and the stock market is very optimistic. Me, not so much, I'm selling everything before they figure out that a change in regime really won't make an iota of difference. I hope that Americans get the government they want and deserve.

Happy Voting Day!

you're fortunate to have such nice weather.

Today was around 10 C and very grey in London- a classic view of London.

We had snow last week- the first time there has been snow in London in October since 1934 (or so they say !). So the UK seems fairly immune from global warming this year !

I agree about the US. It's only Americans who can make the decision- although it may effect the world. I am an Obama sceptic myself. So many people seem to have such high expectations of him. I am reminded of Tony Blair's rise to power in Britain in 1997. People spoke of "new dawns" and such like. The left were the most excited. By the end of his time as PM, Blair was ironically most hated by the left and generally respected on the right.

Anyway this is looking ahead a bit. But I think a few people will need to reset their expectations if Obama gets in !

Luis, it's pretty much over. I have heard him referred to as the messiah! It will be interesting times in America.
Hi Smallton RN, we too had a little snow in last week but now it's really nice. I'm sure it won't last....

Oh you're having much better temperatures than us! Two weeks ago I was still in t-shirts and in the sun and now I'm in winter clothes and cold feet. Bah. I want my Indian summer back!

Beautiful roses :)
