Look What Followed Me Home!
Well, with a little help from me of course, welcome Suzie...
This is a Majarcraft Suzie and thus far we do not seem to be getting along terribly well. I hope to find some lessons within my "hood" to remedy this situation. Otherwise I have a very expensive ornament in my craft room and one very annoyed husband.
While I'm trying to figure this out I am going through my yarn stash to bring some order to it. My one and only New Year's resolution is this; no more buying yarn unless I have a pattern for it. You have no idea how much yarn I have without a plan. That is probably the worst thing a knitter can do. Finding a project to match your yarn is too time consuming and frankly not much fun.
On the health front, it is now ONE YEAR, THREE MONTHS since wonder foot surgeon put me on his list and by my calculation I have another three months to wait. Now remember, I waited two years to see him before I was put on his surgery list. I have no idea what is happening since his office does not return calls and a very nice letter I sent in November elicited no response. I sure hope he hasn't moved to the U.S. (where they make more money) without telling his patients. Meanwhile, I have become pretty much housebound since walking is painful and I need to sweetie to lean on when we are out. This is a crappy way to live.
So now you know why I bought Suzie, I'm hoping she will help me get through the winter without too much distress and make my life a little more bearable. I'm probably insane...

Excellent purchase! There are lots of videos on youtube, and I'm quite sure that if you look hard, you'll find a guild or shop where you can take lessons. It took a lot of practice for me before it finally all clicked.
Happy spinning with your beautiful new wheel!
Ouch on the foot front! Sorry to hear that. I work with a gal who like you has a room full of yarn..she sees some yarn she loves and can't resist buying it. I don't know what that's like...well I do but on a much smaller scale. I bough 6 balls of yarn only because it was an incredible sale and I told myself..self you will use this one day! LOL
Hope you figure Suzie out soon...she does look gorgeous..
Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hi. Yes it has been awhile...but I think I'm back now.
Hi Rosita,
I can understand why you have so much yarn - the rainbow of colours and the different types of wool certainly send the imagination spinning. And, now with "Suzie", you can spin more than your imagination.
What type of foot surgery are you haing? Here is one of my posts about my experience: http://rheumfuloftips.wordpress.com/2013/03/20/433-new-feet-and-a-fused-neck/.
Happy spinning - of the yarn type, and of course, of the blog type, too! :)
