When my stepson from California gets on a plane for Toronto tomorrow he will have to go through one of these new body scanners. Ever since the Christmas Day scare over Detroit, security is nuts. Instead of racial profiling, which is something the Israelis do, all travelers are subject to the full body scans. My question has always been, can they really see everything? We're going to embarrass poor granny who has to wear Depends for nothing.
Here's an article in today's Times Online that puts this entire security measure into doubt. Seems that breast implants can be used to bring a plane down. Will the scanners detect this threat? I for one won't feel much safer flying.

I think they do show everything, Rositta. And when we all start growing cauliflower-like growths from our bodies, they'll deem the radiation levels unsafe. It would be nice to do background checks on frequent flyers and issue fast passes for those poor souls who fly often and therefore get too much radiation.

Rositta, if women are willing to stuff their chests with bombs, there is no stopping them. These terrorists are despicable. I wonder if the women are forced?? You don't here of the men putting bomb material in their testicles, do you?
No Rudee, but the article said they were considering implanting explosives in buttocks of men! There are as was just proven in Russia, women terrorists...
What a world. I can see it now. People lined up at the gym working out, because they have to fly during the holidays. ;)
